Retired Bladen County Sheriff’s Office K9 being buried with former handler

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A decision has been made by the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office to bury a retired K9 with his handler.

Captain Daniel M. Clark died Monday evening at his home.

Clark continued to care for retired 10-year-old K9 Jaxx in recent years.

A local veterinary and the family of Clark decided to put Jaxx down, as he was in failing health over the past months.

Jaxx will be cremated before being buried with Clark.
